An essay is a short piece of writing that expresses the writer’s point of view. They are commonly done by scholars. Although the businesses write them, the popular reference to business essays are reports.
The 3 Parts of an Essay
A typical essay has three sections. In a nutshell, we have the initializing part, the main content region and the conclusion bit.
The introductory part of an essay gives the reader an insight into what the paper contains. It comprises the Thesis Statement which summarizes the writing.
The body is the second part and it entails the main content. The information expresses the writer’s thoughts, ideas, and opinions.
It is a good practice to leave your reader in a convincing state. Avoid suspense and sudden exits when finalizing your essay. The conclusion paragraph is vital, it explains the paper and its findings.

1. Narrative Essays
They tell a story about a chosen subject in an orderly manner.
2. Persuasive Essays
Such essays target to convince the reader about a given point of view.
3. Descriptive Essay
They focus on explaining something or a certain experience. An example can be an essay explaining the moon landing.
4. Compare and Contrast Essay
They analyze the similarities and differences between two or more things. For instance, the concepts may discuss people, places, work of arts or technologies.
5. Expository Essay
They explain to the reader how to do something. These essays outline the procedures or step-by-step instructions for doing something in a clear flow.
